Deputies Serve Warrant On Dead Woman

"MELBOURNE, FL — Two people were found dead Thursday in what appears to be a murder/suicide, according to Brevard County sheriff's investigators.

"Investigators said the bodies were found inside a home on Sapphire Street, just east of Interstate 95 near Melbourne.

"According to investigators, deputies went to the home to serve a warrant on Kayla Hemby, 26,and found her body and the body of Michael Barker, 42, in the home.

"They said the two appeared to have died from gunshot wounds sometime Thursday.

"`Both of them do have a history with us,` said Tod Goodyear, of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

"Two elderly women who live in the home were not hurt."
