Cape Town Triple-Header
"CAPE TOWN, South Africa - Cape Town police have opened a murder docket and are investigating.
"Hendrick and Marina Strydom, 74 and 67, were found dead in their bed by Marina's sister in Eland Street, Brackenfell on Tuesday. She entered the house through the unlocked front door.
"Each had a gunshot wound to their head.
"The Strydoms' 46-year-old son Marius, also shot in the head, was found alongside them in a critical condition. He was taken to Tygerberg Hospital where he died.
"Brackenfell police spokesperson Erica Crous said police found a suicide note at the scene. `In the letter, all three parties indicated it was a mutual decision to end their lives.`
"Crous would not speculate as to who fired the shots but said Marina's sister found a gun lying on the bed.
"Police will conduct ballistics tests to determine who fired the shots."
