Mystery Couple Found Dead on Island

"ALAMEDA, CA — A couple who were found shot to death inside their home on Bay Farm Island Wednesday morning died as a result of a homicide-suicide, police said.

"Officers were dispatched to the residence in the 100 block of Keil Bay shortly before 6 a.m. after a friend of the couple became concerned about their welfare, police said.

"The man and woman, whose names were not disclosed, each died from a single gunshot wound, Alameda police Lt. Bill Scott said.

"Police did not disclose the ages of the couple, or their relationship."
