Football, Pork Roast Implicated in Murder/Suicide
"Murrells Inlet, SC - Preliminary evidence indicates that a Murrells Inlet couple found dead over the weekend could have died as a result of murder-suicide, Horry County police Lt. Jay Brantly said on Sunday night.
"Coroners conducted autopsies Sunday on the couple found dead of gunshot wounds in their home Saturday afternoon, but little information was revealed.
"Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said Richard Lawhon, 30, was shot once, and Hannah Lawhon, also 30, was shot several times.
"Horry County police still are investigating the incident.
"David Jarvis, Hannah Lawhon's father, said he last saw his daughter on New Year's Day when he visited her at her home.
"The Clemson University game was on, and Hannah Lawhon had cooked a pork roast, said Jarvis, 53, of Surfside Beach."
