Death In A Small Town

"Warren, PA - The shooting deaths in Warren late last Friday afternoon have been ruled a murder-suicide.

"Warren City police reported Sunday that Amy Chimenti's death was a homicide and Christopher Chimenti's death was a suicide.

"Warren County Coroner Jerry Borden, who pronounced both dead at the scene, said on Sunday that both died on single gunshot wounds.

"City police had responded to 117 Beaty St. at 5 p.m. Friday on a report of gunshots fired.

"City police confirmed that Christopher Chimenti, 34, had been charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident on July 6 in which he assaulted his wife, Amy Chimenti, 33. A preliminary hearing on those charges was held on July 21.

"City police were assisted by Warren-based state police, agents from the U.S. Forest Service and City of Warren ambulance crew.

"Police said the investigation is continuing."
