Victim's Body Found In Wooded Area

"WILEY FORD, WV — A Wiley Ford couple were found dead Saturday, minutes after a 911 call was placed from a Cumberland Street home to the Mineral County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.

"Family members identified the victims as Tammy Deetz, 47, and Kenneth Deetz, 44. The cause of death of both the husband and wife was unknown.

"Following a call to the 911 center in which the caller disconnected the line before talking to a dispatcher, a sheriff’s deputy was sent to the home, which is located near Alternate Route 28, about one-half mile from state Route 28.

"When the deputy arrived, he found the body of Kenneth Deetz, as well as the couple’s two grandchildren — an infant girl and a 4-year-old boy — who were inside the home, according to the couple’s daughter, Kendra.

"Tammy Deetz’s body was found at 5:42 p.m. in a wooded area about 15 feet from Alternate Route 28."
