Nosy Co-Workers Make Grisly Discovery
"LAND O’ LAKES, FL - Pasco County Sheriff's Offices detectives are describing the discovery of two bodies at a home in Lake Padgett Estates as a murder-suicide.
"Deputies were called to the home at 22535 Stillwood Drive and the end of a cul-de-sac just before 1 p.m. today after co-workers of one of the pair said one of them didn't show up for work. The bodies were of a man and a woman, according to sheriff's office spokesman Kevin Doll.
"It is believed that the male shot and killed the female and then turned the gun on himself, Doll said in a news release.
"The identities are not being released because the relatives of the man live out of state and have not been notified. The owner of the home is Melissa Howard, according to Pasco County property records.
"The couple appears to be in their 30s, Sgt. Mel Eakley said. They were not married, but had a relationship.
"They do not know what the motive was. `The relationship dynamics are unknown to us,` Eakley said this afternoon.
"The woman did not show up for work and her co-workers became concerned. `This was unlike her daily habits,` Eakley said of the female victim.
"Some of the co-workers came to the Stillwood Drive house, were able to get in, found the bodies and called the sheriff's office, Eakley said. The bodies were in one of the bedrooms of the house."
