"Signs Of Violence" At Murder/Suicide Scene

"NEWBURGH, NY – Two people are dead in a Town of Newburgh home and police are investigating the 3:30 a.m. incident.

"Officers responding to 1 Marino Drive found a husband and wife dead in the second floor bedroom. There were signs of violence and both appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds, said Lt. Michael Clancy.

"Dead were Kimet Kotjari, 60, and his wife, Hiria Kojtari, 51. A relative found the bodies in the house and called 911. Police were advised that there were firearms inside the house.

"Detectives continue to investigate and conduct interviews at the scene. The Orange County District Attorney’s Office is also involved in the investigation as is an investigator from the county Medical Examiner’s Office.

"The bodies will be removed to the ME’s office with autopsies scheduled."
