Fire Followed Murder/Suicide
"TOMBALL, TX — Tomball police have found a second body in the ruins of a burned home and they're calling the situation an apparent murder-suicide.
"At about 7:30pm Sunday, Tomball police, firefighters and paramedics from Northwest EMS responded to a 911 call about an explosion that had just occurred in the Spring Creek Estates subdivision. First responders found a home in the 29000 block of Orchard Grove fully involved in flames.
"Fire crews from Tomball, Magnolia, Klein, Cypress Creek and Rosehill Fire Departments began to aggressively contain the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby houses.
"The Tomball Fire Marshall's Office and the Tomball Police Department have been investigating this fire, which has been ruled arson. As part of the investigation there have been significant search and evidence recovery efforts as well as a missing persons investigation.
"On Tuesday, the remains of an unidentified victim were discovered and turned over to the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office. Search of the residence resumed today at daybreak, and a second body was discovered at about 10am.
"While autopsy results are still pending, it is apparent that the deaths and fire were a result of a murder/suicide.
"Neighbors say the couple who lived in the home was going through a divorce."
