Parents Find Bodies At Home

"BORDENTOWN, NJ — Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Bordentown Township Police Chief Frank M. Nucera, Jr. announced today that a Bordentown Township husband and wife were found dead this morning inside their home in what appears to be a murder-suicide scenario.

"John Havens III, age 30, and Kerry Havens, age 29, were discovered inside their home at 41 Tantum Court, Bordentown Township, NJ, at approximately 7 a.m. today.

"Their bodies were found by Kerry’s parents, who had gone to the home to watch their grandchildren during the day while John and Kerry went to work. The children, a girl age 3 and a boy age 1, were not harmed.

"Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears the couple had an argument that resulted in one spouse killing the other, then committing suicide.

"Details of the deaths are being withheld pending autopsies, which will be performed by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood. At this point, there is no reason to believe the deaths were caused by a third party.

"The investigation is being conducted by detectives from the Bordentown Township Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit."
