Murder/Suicide Ends December/May Marriage

"BURKESVILLE, KY — Kentucky State Police are investigating after they say they believe a Cumberand County man shot his wife to death and then turned the gun on himself.

"The incident happened Sunday morning at a home on Scott River Drive in Burkesville. Police say an investigation revealed that 75-year-old Blanton Howard shot his wife, 39-year-old Stephanie Howard during a domestic dispute, then took his own life.

"Autopsies were performed Monday and preliminary results confirmed that both victims died as a result of gunshot wounds."
