Rivals In Critical Condition After Botched Murder/Suicide
"PATERSON, NJ — Two men remained in critical condition Sunday while detectives continued to piece together why one shot the other before turning the gun on himself, police said.
"The alleged gunman Jose Martinez and victim Marcel Paredes were still at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center on Sunday after the attempted murder-suicide on New Year's Eve.
"Martinez went to his ex-girlfriend's home on East 27th St. around 8:15 p.m. Friday, confronted Paredes and shot him in the torso and head, police said. Martinez then shot himself in the head, police said.
"Police are still investigating why Martinez shot Paredes, said Lt. Ronald Humphreys."

Martinez did not go to exchange girlfriends house. He followed Marcel to his home where he lived with his wife kids and her family. Martinez and Marcel had children with another woman. Martinez was jealous of Marcel although he was no longer with the other woman. Marcel's son also mentioned Martinez threatening his father's life to the boys face. I guess none of you bothered to do some research!
