Five Kids Orphaned
"PELION, SC — A Lexington County couple has died in what police are calling a murder-suicide.
"Victoria Williamson Tindall, 28, was shot in the head with a 12-gauge shotgun, Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman said. Brian Tindall, her 33-year-old estranged husband, died from a self-inflicted shot to the head with the same weapon, Harman said.
"The couple's bodies were found at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday inside a their home on Track Road near Pelion. Police went to the scene after Brian Tindall's mother called them, Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said. Brian Tindall had called his mother and told her that he had shot and killed his wife, police said. He also told her that he planned to kill himself and that he wanted his mother to come to the house to take the couple's youngest child, a three-year-old girl.
"When police arrived at the house, they found Brian Tindall lying in a doorway near the kitchen with a 12-gauge shotgun near his body. His wife's body was on the kitchen floor.
"Police are continuing their investigation as to what prompted the shooting. Brian Tindall had moved out of the home about three weeks ago, police said.
"The couple had five children, aged 3, 7, 10 (twins), and 11. The other four were at school when the shooting took place, police said. The three-year-old did not witness her parents' deaths."
