Caregiver Finds Bodies Of Man, Daughter

"EAST ROCKHILL, PA — Pennridge police are investigating an apparent murder suicide in East Rockhill on Saturday night.

"Police Chief David Mettin said police found an elderly father and his handicapped daughter dead inside the home in the 5200 block of Clymer Road near Sterner Mill Road and Route 313 late Saturday night.

"Mettin said it appears both suffered gunshot wounds.

"The father was in his late 70s and the daughter is believed to have been in her 60s, said Sgt. Patrick Karcher of Pennridge Regional Police. A caregiver found the bodies about 9 p.m. Saturday night and called police. The man and woman were the only occupants of the home.

"Police believe the killings took place within hours of the discovery of the bodies."
