Mother And Son Die In Murder/Suicide

"RICHMOND, VA — Saturday night Chesterfield Police were called to a home for an apparent murder/suicide. The two victims have been identified as a mother and son.

"Officers responded to a `shots fired` call at a home on the 1800 block of Lark Hill Lane shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday.

"At the scene, police found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound outside of the home. She died before rescue arrived.

"Inside the home, officers found the victim’s adult son dead, from what looks to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

"Police have identified the deceased as 64-year-old Barbara S. Hogue and 43-year-old Jeffery S. Hogue. Both resided in the 1800 block of Larkhill Lane."
