Note, Bodies Found At Scene

"WEST MONROE, LA — Investigators with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office began investigating a possible murder/suicide Thursday afternoon in western Ouachita Parish.

"According to Chief Deputy Marc Mashaw, deputies arrived on the scene located at 103 Greenbriar Drive in West Monroe in the Indian Lakes subdivision shortly after 3 p.m. and said the incident was not a threat to public safety.

"Sheriff Jay Russell said investigators determined the names of the victims were Alvin Fife, 66 and his wife, Frankie, 64.

"Russell said investigators also found a note at the scene and said the pair died of gunshot wounds."
