Man, Two Kids Found Dead In Home

"RIDGWAY, PA — A Brockport man and two children are dead from an apparent murder/suicide Thursday night in Horton Township, Elk County.

"On Friday, a representative of the Elk County 9-1-1 Center indicated Ridgway-based state police were dispatched to a report of a murder/suicide at 4708 Route 219 on Thursday. He referred further questions to the state police.

"Ridgway-based state police did not release the names of the people involved, and called the matter a `death investigation,` refusing to release further information.

"The only details released by police were that a 32-year-old man, a 7-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl were dead.

"The deaths occurred between 7 p.m. and 10:55 p.m. Thursday, police said. No causes of death were released for any of the three.

"Elk County Coroner Michele Muccio said autopsies are being scheduled for the three people.

"Police said the matter remains under investigation."
