Bodies Found During Welfare Check

"LAS VEGAS, NV — Two people killed in a murder/suicide last week have been identified.

"The Clark County Coroner said 28-year-old Megan Kathleen Lanza died from a gunshot wound to her head and chest. Her death was ruled a homicide.

"51-year-old Nicholas Frank Lanza died from a gunshot wound to the head, and his death was ruled a suicide.

"The incident happened Wednesday evening on Thunder Spirit Street in the southwest part of Las Vegas.

"Las Vegas police were called to the home to conduct a welfare check after family members reported they were unable to contact the occupants.

"When officers were able to gain access, they found Megan and Frank dead inside.

"Police said they were married, but had been experiencing recent relationship problems and were currently separated."
