Pair "Very Critical" After Attempted Murder/Suicide
"OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Oklahoma City police are investigating an apparent murder/suicide.
"They were called to 6601 Johnnie Terrace just before 7 p.m. Sunday.
"Police said a minor child who was in the home at the time of the shootings made the 911 call.
"`There was a minor that was inside at the time of the shooting,` OKC Police Lt. Don Holland said. `We do not know what the child actually saw or didn’t see so we’re still trying to determine.`
"Lt. Holland said the shootings stemmed from a situation between an estranged husband and wife.
"He said the preliminary investigation shows the man shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself.
"`When officers arrived, we found two subjects that had been shot,` Lt. Holland said. `Both of them were transported to OU Medical Center in very critical condition.`
"Police said they’re trying to determine exactly what led up to the shootings.
"The female victim was in critical condition but expected to survive.
"Lt. Holland said the male was more severely injured and that he might not make it through the night."
