Dead Men Found In Street

"TUCSON, AZ — Two men, including a University of Arizona Cancer Center researcher, were fatally shot in front of a midtown home in a murder/suicide Tuesday night.

"Police responded to a shooting call in the 4500 block of East 28th Street, near South Columbus Boulevard and East 29th Street, around 7:30 p.m. and found the two men with gunshot wounds in the street in front of the home they shared, Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman said in a news release.

"Police determined the roommates began fighting in the home and 30-year-old Michael Kistner stabbed 32-year-old Jadrian Rusche with a kitchen knife multiple times, the release said.

"Kistner then grabbed a handgun and fired several shots at Rusche who ran out of the home and into the street.

"Kistner chased Rusche and continue to fire at him.

"Rusche was shot several times, the release said.

"Kistner then turned the gun on himself.

"Rusche began working as a researcher at the cancer center in May 2012 and had various research positions on campus beginning in March 2004, said Sara Hammond, a spokeswoman for the center.

"He was previously a student worker on campus starting in January 2000.

"No other information was immediately available."
