Newlyweds Found Dead In Home

"SCOTTSVILLE, TX — An apparent murder/suicide took place in Harrison County Tuesday, county sheriff's officials say.

"Dudley Taylor II, 50, and Pamela Taylor, 47, were found dead in their Harrison County home Tuesday evening.. A weapon was located and retrieved from the residence and authorities say both died of gunshot wounds. Preliminary investigation, pending autopsy results, indicates that it was a murder/suicide.

"The bodies were discovered around 6:30 p.m. at 113 Sugar Creek Drive in Scottsville, Texas, in the Sugar Creek subdivision. The discovery was made by a relative of the family, authorities say. Family members of Pam had been planning to celebrate her birthday with her Tuesday night, and went by the home to pick her up, Pam's boss and local attorney Michael Smith told us today. Pam had been a paralegal in his office for the past six years.

"Those who knew them best say things seemed normal in recent days. The couple had gone to a Luke Bryan concert together recently, and Dudley had just had a customized bowling ball made for Pam, as that was one of her favorite hobbies.

"Smith says the couple had only married three months ago on a trip to Destin after having dated for three years."
