Botched Murder-Suicide Turns into Kidnapping Case

"DOVER, NH — What started as an investigation into a Tuesday morning standoff at a Cobble Hill Drive residence has turned into a kidnapping case after police discovered a woman inside the house hours after the standoff concluded.

"The woman was found inside the 5 Cobble Hill Drive home just before 3:30 p.m., while police were searching the home for weapons. They had been at the home for about two hours.

"`She was very well hidden and extremely terrified,` Police Chief Anthony Colarusso said. `She was conscious and speaking with detectives and there were no signs of serious injuries.`...

"According to the narrative in the complaint... `He stated he was going to kill her and himself, a murder-suicide — he had it planned out but it all went too fast.`"
