Ladies' Night
"Houston, TX - A romantic rivalry may have been behind an apparent murder-suicide involving two women who were found dead in a west Houston townhome, police said.
"Police were dispatched to the townhomes in the 15200 block of Memorial about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday after residents reported hearing gunfire.
"Minutes later, police received another call about a disturbance with a weapon at a particular address.
"The officers found the women inside the home, dead from apparent gunshot wounds. One of them appeared to be about 40 and the other is believed to have been in her mid- to late 20s, police said.
"Their names were withheld pending notification of relatives.
"The older woman apparently shot the younger woman before killing herself, investigators said. She apparently had been in a relationship with the younger woman's current boyfriend, police said.
"The man lives in the townhome, police said, but a police spokesman said he did not know whether the man was present when the shootings took place."
