Two Dead in South African Shooting

"A 22-year-old man shot and killed his girlfriend at a hotel in Soshanguve before turning the gun on himself, Pretoria police said on Monday.

"Captain Solly Marindi said the two bodies were found with head wounds four hours after the man had booked himself into the hotel.

"'After booking in, he left and returned with the woman about two hours later. They then sat in their car outside the hotel... until staff heard two gunshots at 10pm,' he said.

"The motive for the killings was unknown."
