"JWANENG, Botswana - Jwaneng police are investigating a suspected murder suicide case after the descovery of the bodies of a couple recently.

"The body of a 22-year-old woman was found in a pool of blood at Mosadimogolo lands, 10 kilometres from Maokane village, while that of that of her 33-year-old boyfriend was found hanging from the rafters of a house two kilometres ago.

"The man originates from Mmathethe Village.

"Superintendent Mothubane said the bodies of the couple are awaiting postmortem at Jwaneng Mine Hospital.

"He said it is the second incident of a suspected murder and suicide in his policing area this year.

"He advised the lovers to seek advice from dikgosi, pastors and social workers when they experience problems that they are incapable of resolving/ On other issues, Superintendent Mothubane said crime in Jwaneng was on the rise. He said they were overwhelmed by reported cases of assault from cattle posts.

"He said most of these violent incidents take place after drinking."
