Maryland Couple Found Dead
"CUMBERLAND, MD — The Allegany County Bureau of Police responded to a private residence on 14602 Old Hancock Road, Cumberland, Maryland on Thursday, February 10, 2011, at approximately 1:10 PM, for a report of two individuals that were dead of apparent gunshot wounds.
"Officers arrived at the scene and located 65 year old Ronald H. Daniels and 54 year old Jamie L. Daniels. Both had gunshot wounds and both were deceased. It was determined that Mr. Daniels and Mrs. Daniels were married and resided together at the residence.
"Investigation of the scene and evidence collected revealed that the injuries sustained by Mr. and Mrs. Daniels are a result of an apparent murder-suicide at the residence. Mr. Daniels injuries appeared to be self-inflicted.
"The bodies have been transported to the Maryland State Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore for an autopsy. Investigators are awaiting the results of the autopsy, which are pending at this time."
