Two Men Dead After Domestic Disturbance

"PALATINE, IL — Two men are dead in Palatine in an apparent murder-suicide, police said late Sunday.

"The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the victims as Bradley Morrison, 21, of 4013 Bonnhill in Arlington Heights and Edward Kuemper, 49, of 1540 E. Reynolds in Palatine.

"Police responded to a disturbance call around 8:34 a.m. in the 1500 block of East Reynolds Drive and found two men lying on the ground, according to a press release.

"Preliminary investigation found that a 49-year old Palatine resident shot and killed a 21-year old during a domestic disturbance before turning the gun on himself. Sources [said] it was the father who shot his daughter's boyfriend before turning the gun on himself, but that wasn't officially confirmed by police.

"A handgun was found at the scene, the release said.

"Identities of the victims were being withheld pending notification of family members.

"Palatine detectives continued to investigate the incident."

  1. This is crazy!! I knew this guy, there has to be more to the story. He was the nicest guy in the world. Somehow this 21 year old provoked him (beyond the obvious.. that he was dating his 16 year old daughter).. I am not condoning his actions, but there had to be some self defense, followed by a hopeless, what do I do next.. It's VERY SAD!!!!
