Shotgun Divorce
"WEBSTER, NY — The deaths of two Webster residents found on Wednesday in their home on 580 Morning Glory Drive have been officially ruled a murder-suicide.
"Webster Police Chief Gerald Pickering announced this morning that David G. Pulos, 50, shot and killed his wife, Marisa L. Pulos, 48, between 1 and 9 a.m. on Feb. 9. Police say both husband and wife had a single shotgun wound from a 12-gauge shotgun, legally owned by David Pulos.
"`I'm not sure what the trigger was that caused him to go to these means to end this marriage,` Pickering said.
"Both bodies were found on the first floor of the home with `blunt force trauma` in the upscale neighborhood.
"Police had responded to a report of an argument at the same location within the last month. Both declined to press charges, but it was said that Marisa Pulos had allegedly sprayed David Pulos with a window cleaner.
"The Puloses were currently going through a divorce, according to Monroe County public records. David Pulos filed for the divorce on Jan. 25."
