Boyfriend & Girlfriend Found Dead

"LOUISBURG, NC — A Franklin County couple died in a murder-suicide at a Louisburg apartment complex Wednesday morning, police said.

"Police Chief Rick Lassiter said the boyfriend and girlfriend died of gunshot wounds at the Franklin Court apartments, 119A Second St., around 8 a.m. Authorities haven't released their names or said who pulled the trigger.

"The couple had children, but it wasn't clear if the children were there during the shooting, Lassiter said.

"No other details have been released."
