Five Bodies Found In Mobile Home

"GARGATHA, VA — Five bodies were found in a mobile home Thursday in Accomack County on the Eastern Shore.

"The Accomack County Sheriff's office is investigating the murder-suicide.

"The Sheriff says his office got a call at 5:10 p.m. Thursday about an attempted suicide.

"When deputies arrived, they found five bodies inside the mobile home. They are not saying the ages of the deceased or if they were related; however, a brother of one of the victims, Omar Colon Matias, said his sister Evelyn and the father of her two children, ages 9 and 11, were living there with another woman.

"Matias says his sister was in a custody battle with her estranged husband; although, police have not released any information regarding that matter.

"The bodies have been moved to the Norfolk medical examiner's office. Autopsies will be performed on all five bodies.

"The trailer where this tragedy happened is located on 6th Street in Gargatha, Va. It is along a dirt road in a remote area among a handful of trailers."
