Coworker Finds Bodies Of Estranged Pair
"ESPY, PA — Investigators are trying to figure out why a Columbia County man shot and killed his wife, and then turned the gun on himself.
"Police said sometime between 7:00 and 11:45 p.m. Thursday, Todd Musselman shot and killed his estranged wife Michele and then shot himself. Investigators are calling it a murder-suicide, and they're trying to figure out why he did it.
"Sheila Koffer of Espy spent her morning in disbelief. `At four a.m. I got up and saw cars and the caution tape, everything was roped off. I saw them bring one body out and a few minutes later they brought another one out,` said Koffer.
"According to police reports the bodies were discovered by one of Todd's coworkers who went to the house [on the 2400 block of Old Berwick Road] after Todd did not show up for his shift. Investigators are trying to figure out why Michele, who was separated from her husband, was at his house in the first place.
"Police said that Todd was arrested last month for assault and all firearms were removed from the house. Investigators are trying to figure out how Todd got ahold of another gun."
