Deceased Couple Found At Home

"GLEN HEAD, NY — Nassau County police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Glen Head early Monday morning.

"Officers made the discovery after checking the couple’s Cedar Swamp Road home after a concerned friend reporting being unable to get in touch with them, police said.

"`A key was secured from the landlord, and entry into the apartment uncovered the couple was deceased,` police said in a statement.

"The victims were only identified as a 33-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man. The woman had multiple stab wounds and the man had one, police said.

"Homicide Squad detectives `determined that the male had killed the female and then killed himself` at 12:19 a.m., police said.

"The bodies were taken to the medical examiner’s office, where they will undergo autopsies.

"Detectives are continuing the investigation."
