Cops Find Bodies After 911 Suicide Call

"VENETA, OR — A Veneta husband and wife were found dead in their bedroom Wednesday in an apparent murder-suicide, authorities said.

"Lane County Sheriff's deputies were called about 6 a.m. to a home in the 25200 block of Jake Street after someone inside called 911 threatening suicide, the sheriff's office said.

"Witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area and deputies later found 56-year-old Bradley R. Chauran and 53-year-old Kelly A. Chauran fatally shot in the home, deputies said.

"The incident is still under investigation and the Lane County Medical Examiner's Office is looking into the cause of death for the couple."
