Death In Separate Bedrooms
"PATASKALA, OH — Licking County Sheriff's officials released the names on Tuesday of those involved in an apparent murder-suicide.
"According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded on Monday evening to a call from a family member to check on Kendra Stokes, who had not been seen or heard of for a few days.
"The family member, who had a key to Stokes' house which is located in the 11000 block of Reussner Road, let deputies in.
"Upon entering the home, deputies heard two gunshots coming from an upstairs bedroom.
"After hearing no response, deputies searched the home and found the bodies of Kendra and Mark Stokes.
"The two were found in separate bedrooms and both had apparently died because of gunshot wounds.
"Deputies said that it appeared Kendra had been dead several days before deputies entered the home.
"Stokes apparently shot and killed himself when deputies entered.
"Autopsies were slated to be conducted."
