Bloody Witness Flags Down Cop

"GALESBURG, MI - An apparent murder-suicide left two people dead late Wednesday in Galesburg, police said.

"Two people were found with gunshots outside of a residence on Miller Drive, east of 35th Street, in what was apparently a murder-suicide, Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller said. Names, ages and genders of the two people killed were not immediately released.

"`The victims do not appear to be related, but it looks like they may have known each other,` Fuller said from near the scene late Wednesday night.

"One of the two victims lived at the Miller Drive residence where the bodies were found, the sheriff said.

"Police responded at about 7 p.m. after a woman ran up to a Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officer who was at the Shell gas station at Miller and 35th Street and said there had been a shooting, according to Fuller. The KDPS officer was at the gas station, just off Exit 85 of Interstate 94, for a prisoner exchange with Battle Creek police, he said.

"The woman who reported the shooting had blood on her, but it wasn't immediately known if she was injured in the shooting incident, the sheriff said."
