"Adra, Spain - A Moroccan man has allegedly killed his ex-husband in Almería, before committing suicide himself.

"The victim, a 34-year-old Spaniard, was knifed in the neck in the doorway to his own home in calle Natalio Rivas in Adra.

"The alleged killer, his ex-husband, was found dead three hours later, at 6pm, by the Guardia Civil on waste ground near Adra.

"Although the investigation is in its early stages, it is believed that the couple's break-up two months ago could have been a motive for the murder.

"This is the first known case of marital murder within a homosexual couple since gay marriage was legalised in Spain in April 2005."
