Two Dead, Shooter Unknown
"Spring, TX - Authorities are investigating what they believe was a murder-suicide at a north Harris County home, where a woman and her boyfriend were found dead Sunday afternoon.
"Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables responded to a call around 4:20 p.m. at a home in the 23000 block of Berry Pine, where a 14-year-old girl said her mother was inside the master bedroom and not responding to knocks on the locked door, Harris County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. John Legg said.
"Around 5 p.m., deputy constables forced entry into the bedroom, where they found the girl's mother and her boyfriend, whose identities were not released, dead from bullet wounds, Legg said.
"`It appears to be a murder-suicide,` Legg said, adding that it is unknown at this time which person fired the gun.
"The teenage daughter told police that all three of them had gone to bed Saturday evening and that she hadn't heard anything after going to sleep, Legg said.
"The girl told investigators that her mother had mentioned possibly breaking up with her boyfriend, Legg said."
