Man Hangs Himself After Shooting Wife

"CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA - The body of a 30-year-old man was found hanging in Nkunzimbini near Lusikisiki days after he shot and injured his wife, Eastern Cape police said.

"Captain Mduduzi Godlwana said police discovered the man's body in a vacant house on Tuesday afternoon in what was believed to be suicide.

"On April 2 the man went to Cape Town where his wife worked to determine if she had been committing adultery, Godlwana said.

"The man returned from Cape Town convinced that his wife was seeing another man there.

"He shot and injured his wife who was in a critical condition in a Mthatha hospital.

"The man was captured by a community policing forum but he escaped as the group was making its way through dense bush."
