No School Today For 11-Year-Old Witness

"Philadelphia, PA - Philadelphia police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that occurred Tuesday morning, right in front of the murder victim's 11-year-old daughter.

"Police say they got a report of a double shooting about 7:30am Tuesday morning in 1900 block of Sterling Street in West Oak Lane.

"Officers arriving on the scene found two people dead.

"Investigators say the 35-year-old woman was in her car, about to take her 11-year-old daughter to school, when the 45-year-old man walked up and shot the woman before turning the gun on himself.

"Detectives say it appeared to be the culmination of some kind of domestic dispute. Names of the dead people, and their relationship to each other, were not immediately released.

"The 11-year-old girl was not physically hurt. She was being interviewed by police."
