Welfare Check Finds Two Dead

"THORNTON, WA - Whitman County Sheriff's deputies confirmed Wednesday they are investigating a murder-suicide in the town of Thornton.

"Officials say the call originally came in as a welfare check at 9:34 a.m. When deputies arrived to investigate, they say they found two people dead.

"Deputies have not released any further information about the victims or nature of the crime."
