"LA PUENTE, CA — Three people have been killed in a shooting in La Puente, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials said."The triple shooting occurred at about 10:25 a.m. at a home in the 700 block of Sierra Vista Court near Hacienda Boulevard and Glendora Avenue.
"Sheriff's department Lt. Pete Cacheiro said a woman and her boyfriend were shot and killed by a man believed to be the woman's ex-boyfriend who then shot himself. Sheriff's department officials are investigating the case as a murder-suicide.
"City officials and neighbors, however, said the woman was a grandmother in her fifties who lived in the home with her boyfriend as they took care of her three grandchildren.
"Neighbors in the area said three children between the ages of 3 to 5 were seen being taken away from the home this morning.
"Family members are at the scene of the shooting and one woman could be seen crying and collapsed as she was given the news."
