Troubled Couple Found Dead In Home
"MASON, MI — The call came in to police on Thursday night.
"`On Thanksgiving Day at approximately 8:30 p.m. deputies from the Ingham County Sheriff Department were dispatched to 440 S. Hanna Rd. in Ingham Township,` Ingham County Sheriff, Gene Wriggelsworth, said.
"Deputies responded to the Mason home because a family member hadn't heard from their brother in awhile. The family member arrived to a deadly scene at the home and immediately called police.
"`Deputies responded and discovered not only the original person who was found shot, but a female as well who had been shot and killed,` Sheriff Wriggelsworth added.
"An investigation concluded it was a murder/suicide with all evidence pointing toward the female being shot first. The male, 53-year-old Timothy Hencricks and the 62-year-old female, who's name is not being released until notification of family, lived in the home together.
"`The relationship was apparently a tumultuous one which is obviously why they got divorced,` Sheriff Wriggelsworth said.
"After the divorce the couple moved back in with each other, but had been having troubles as of late.
"`It's our understanding that he had served eviction papers on her within the last few days,` Sheriff Wriggelsworth said.
"The house in no stranger to police. Deputies have responded to the home multiple times in the past all for attempted suicide attempts from both the male and female."
