Couple Found Dead In Bathroom

"HILLIARD, FL — A couple found shot in a Hilliard home Wednesday in an apparent murder/suicide had been married 19 years and had three school-age children, according to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.

"Sheriff Bill Leeper said Adel Hbaba, 53, and his wife Aline Hbaba, 42, were found in the bathroom of their house in the 361600 block of Pine Street. Leeper said Adel Hbaba was the apparent shooter and that a rifle was found at the scene.

"He said the three children, boys aged 14 and 11 and a 6-year-old daughter were being cared for by a grandmother. They were in school when the shooting occurred.

"Aline Hbaba has a 25-year-old son from an earlier marriage who lives elsewhere.

"Leeper said investigators were interviewing family members Wednesday afternoon to determine if there were any issues with the couple. He said there was no Sheriff’s Office record of calls to the house."
