"GREENVILLE, SC — A young couple died in a murder-suicide Wednesday night, according to the Greenville County deputy coroner.
"Investigators say a woman called 911 about 11:30 p.m. to report she had found two people with gunshot wounds in an apartment on Gilbert Court.
"Erith Moreno Carillo, 19, was pronounced dead on scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to Deputy Coroner Barry Wright. Mary Frances Rose Guthrie, 18, was pronounced dead at Greenville Memorial from a gunshot wound to the head, Wright said.
"Wright said Carrillo was the shooter.
"The couple's 3-month old daughter was inside the apartment, Wright said. The child was taken into protective custody.
"Wright said Carrillo had a case pending that had not yet gone to trial of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. Carrillo was accused of pointing a gun at Guthrie and telling her he was going to kill her.
"Wright said family members on both sides knew the couple had a highly volatile relationship."
