Loud Argument Preceded Shooting

"TEXARKANA, TX — Texarkana police have identified the man and the woman killed in an apparent murder-suicide on Sunday evening.

"Officers were called to a home on 3335 Moore Drive just before 7 p.m., after a family member inside the house reported that two people had been shot.

"26-year-old Lela Cason and 31-year-old Daniel Bourg were found dead inside the home. Investigators say it appears that Bourg shot Cason before turning the gun on himself.

"One neighbor says they heard loud arguing and fighting coming from the common-law couple's home shortly before the shooting. After the shooting, she says she saw their 9-year-old son bring his younger siblings out into the front yard.

"A family member confirms it was the little boy who called 9-1-1 to report the shooting.

"No one else was injured."
