"The call came in shortly after 7:00 a.m. from a home in the 700 block of Thunderbird.
"Two young girls, ages 9 and 14 were apparently home when their mother and step-father died. The children were not injured physically.
"Autopsy results show that the death of 39 year old Michelle Zarobinski was listed as a homicide, while the death of 42 year old Andrew Zarobinski was determined to be a suicide.
"Sources [said] that Michelle Zarobinski was a mortgage consultant for Wells Fargo and worked in Mishawaka.
"She was also active in the community, serving for four years on the board of the New Prairie Little League, and for several years with the New Carlisle Business and Community Association.
"The outgoing message on Michelle’s work phone said that she would be returning from vacation on August 5th. A motorhome and a boat were parked in the driveway of the family home.
"At this time, the children are at Metro Homicide with their biological father, as police decide what to do next."
