Four Dead Over Missing Wallet

"JENKINS, KY — An eastern Kentucky coroner says a man fatally shot three people whom he suspected of theft and then turned the gun on himself.

"Authorities found the four bodies early Friday morning in two different homes about a mile apart in the tiny community of Jenkins on the Kentucky-Virginia border.

"Letcher County Coroner Marty Baker says 58-year-old Timothy Shelby used a Glock pistol. Killed were 35-year-old Jennifer Walters, 25-year-old Joshua Wyatt and 31-year-old Amy Ratliff.

"Baker says Shelby suspected the trio of stealing from him. Shelby and Walters lived together in a home on 86 Oak Street, where Walters' body was found. Wyatt and Ratliff's bodies were found in a home on 11 Ginseng Drive.

"Police were called after two juveniles found a body around 2 a.m. on Friday morning."
