Family Of Three Found Dead

"PITMAN, NJ — Police said the man who killed his wife and son before taking his own life has been identified as Francis Adolf, 49, of Pitman.

"Authorities said Adolf left writing to indicate he intended to harm himself and his family—wife Bonnie, 44, and their son, Francis Adolf Jr., 6.

"Their bodies were found inside their home at 65 Kenton Avenue after Pitman police performed a well-being check around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. No one else lived in the home besides the three people, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said.

"Autopsies on the three to establish the cause and manner of death are pending, said Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean F. Dalton. There was no reported domestic violence history between the Adolfs. Francis Adolf was a nurse and according to his Facebook page, he was employed at Virtua Health System.

"The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and the Pitman Police Department are investigating the incident."
