Death At The Park

"Farmersville, TX - Police discovered a tragic scene at a Collin County Park late Friday evening. A man and his son were found dead in Elm Creek Park near Farmersville.

"The park is near a boat launch on the northeast side of Lavon Lake. The Collin County Sheriff's office says they are investigating the scene as a murder/suicide. They say a 38-year-old Rowlett man drove to the parking lot and shot his 14-year-old son. It's believed he then called 911 to report that two bodies could be found in the park.

"First responders found both bodies outside the man's car, each with a gunshot wound to the head. Investigators are not discussing details or a possible motive."
