Police Baffled By Midnight Shooting
"GRANGER, WA - Police say a 64-year-old man shot his girlfriend to death at a tavern in south-central Washington, then killed himself at his home two blocks away.
"It happened in Granger, southeast of Yakima off Interstate 82. Witnesses say Salvador Ramirez and his girlfriend, 49-year-old Eliva Antunez Roman, had been together Friday night at the Circle Inn Tavern, but Ramirez left and returned with a gun just after midnight. He shot the woman once in the head, then left and shot himself.
"Police say they don't know what prompted the shooting."
